Please join us for two annual conferences this February at St Mary Catholic church in Solon! Saturday, Feb. 3rd is the Women’s Day of Renewal. It will feature two inspiring speakers, Sr. Anne Marie Walsh and Patty Schneier.
Sr. Anne Marie has been a religious for 30+ years. She loves to remind women of God’s passionate love for them and the healing he desires to shower upon them. She has given retreats for healing of families, women with cancer and on women’s dignity, beauty and authentic gift of femininity.
Since 2003, Patty Schneirer has spoken across the United States, sharing her personal conversion story. She helps women move beyond fears to the joys of a faith-filled life. Speaking to women of all ages, she helps them know how to live for Christ and understand why our Catholic faith matters.

The Men’s Morning Conference will be the following week on Sat., Feb 10th from 7:00 to noon and will also feature two speakers, Fr. Shenan Boquet and Capt. Guy Gruters.
Father Shenan J. Boquet was raised in the small town of Bourg, Louisiana. He was ordained priest in 1993 for the Houma-Thibodaux Roman Catholic Diocese in Louisiana, his home state, where he served before joining Human Life International in August 2011.
Fr. Shenan travels around the world, having journeyed a million miles to 70 countries, speaking at numerous conferences. He speaks on the dignity of the human person, marriage and fatherhood. With compassion and hope, Fr. Shenan helps Christians overcome their fears of being labeled “haters” or “intolerant” – empowering them to lift their voices for the sake of truth.
Captain Gruters was a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War and flew over 400 combat missions. He was shot down in 1967 and spent the next five years in communist POW camps, including Hanoi Hilton. Although Gruters was extremely challenged by hunger, pain, humiliation, and the loss of all material goods, he DID have one possession – HOPE. God became his only hope in this extremely hopeless existence and God’s indwelling came to Gruters in a personal way. Guy will share about his five years in confinement and how through this, God taught him the virtues and practices of faith, that every man needs – if he is going to lead others with righteousness and holiness.
